Masters At Work and Nuyorican Soul Prep New Albums
In a revealing interview with DJ Mag, New York house legend Louie Vega announced that he and Kenny Dope are making significant strides on new albums for their acclaimed projects, Masters At Work and Nuyorican Soul.
With nine tracks already completed for the Nuyorican Soul album, Vega expressed enthusiasm about the progress, hinting at a rich blend of sounds that have defined their illustrious careers.
Apart from their work on the Nuyorican Soul and Masters At Work albums, Vega and Dope are not slowing down, instead engaging in many other projects that demonstrate their versatility and commitment to the music industry.
They’re contributing to an album with Brian Jackson, Gil Scott-Heron’s former musical partner, and continuing their collaboration with Josh Milan on Two Soul Fusion. Additionally, their latest track, ‘Lost Jig’, from the ‘MAW Lost Tapes’ series, highlights their ongoing effort to digitize and release previously unheard tracks from their vast archive.
Vega and Dope are also gearing up for a busy year with global shows under both joint and individual banners, including high-profile festivals like Defected Croatia 2024 and Movement Detroit.
