Clean Bandit Robbed of €40,000 Worth of Equipment While Filming in Ibiza
UK dance trio Clean Bandit were robbed of €40,000 worth of equipment and cash while filming a music video in Ibiza last weekend.
The group was on the island to collaborate with David Guetta and Anne-Marie on their latest single when the burglary occurred.
According to reports, Clean Bandit was staying at a friend’s house in Ibiza after a day of shooting. Vocalist Grace Chatto recounted that while some members of the group had returned to London, she stayed behind with valuable equipment, including camera lenses. Upon returning from dinner, she discovered that the house had been broken into, with the thieves making off with the lenses, laptops, and cash. Chatto noted that although the burglary left them shaken, the group was relieved that the video footage, which was already in London, remained safe.
This incident is part of a concerning trend in Ibiza, with DJ Franky Wah also falling victim to theft earlier this summer. Wah’s entire music collection and equipment were stolen while he dined at a restaurant in Jesús, northern Ibiza. Both Clean Bandit and Wah are hoping to recover their losses, with Wah offering a reward for any information leading to the return of his belongings.
