DAB Digital Radio Explained
Welcome to the digital age. Your internet connection, your CD player, your Ipod, your Sky or NTL box are all digital which means they use a series of numbers to represent sound or picture. And now Radio has gone digital too! Gone are the days of turning a dial to tune in, gone are the days of crackling reception, and gone are the days of the same old boring local radio stations.
DAB digital radio sets start from as little as £30. All you need to do is turn on your set, and instantly gain access to a range of great new and existing stations - but of course you're only buying one for Passion Radio - isn't that right?!
Passion Radio is one of the new stations available to anyone with a DAB digital radio on the Sussex Coast. Using a digital radio couldn't be easier - all you do is turn it on using the on/off button and you scroll though an alphabetical list of station names until you find the station you want, and hey presto! No confusing frequencies or channel numbers to remember. Some DAB digital radios even have presets for you to put your favourite stations on.
Digital quality sound and ease of use aren't the only features of DAB digital radio, the radios can also display special information, depending on the station, this may be news, sports results, weather, song information to name a few examples! You can buy DAB digital radios online, and from a range of local and high street stores - even supermarkets are selling them.
How Can I Check if I can hear Passion Radio where I live?
Our coverage area includes most of Sussex, from Chichester through to Hastings and all the towns in between - Bexhill, Eastbourne, Seaford, Lewes, Newhaven, Peacehaven, Brighton, Hove, Worthing, Littlehampton, Chichester, Bognor and everywhere in between will be able to listen to Passion Radio.

I Already Have A DAB Digital Radio
If you already have a DAB digital radio, listening to Passion Radio couldn't be more simple. If you're radio has a selection wheel simply turn it to go through the station list. When 'Passion' or 'Passion Radio' appears, simply press select or tune and you are now listening to Passion Radio.
If you do the above and Passion Radio isn't in your list of stations, you may need to press the 'autotune' or 'scan' button. The radio will then take about 5-10 seconds to find us. After this process has been completed, simply scroll through the station list and you'll be able to tune into Passion Radio.
After the above steps, if you still cannot find Passion Radio, or you find the station but there's a "bubbling" effect on the sound, then make sure you check the following:
· Have you extended your radio's aerial? - Although DAB digital radio is wonderful, the sets still need a signal from our transmitters and by adjusting the aerial you'll be able to maximise the signal you receive.
· Try moving the radio to another room in the house if you are unable to get a listenable signal.
· Are you in our coverage area? - At the moment we can only be heard in the Sussex Coast area.
